Providing Resources for tu Salud (PRO-Salud), is a program by the Sunflower Community Services Foundation is a 501(c) (3), non-profit organization assisting families with health equity and literacy to attain quality healthcare in the RGV. PRO-Salud is a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Certified application counselor designated organization (CDO).

Health equity according to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is defined as attainment of the highest levels of health for all people, where everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their optimal health.

Personal Health Literacy is the degree to which individuals have the ability to find, understand, and use information and services to inform health-related decisions and actions for themselves and others.
